David Allen Parker July 19, 1945 – November 4, 2025
David Allen Parker, 80, of Dayton, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025. He was born on July 19, 1945, in Liberty, Texas, to parents Willie Robert Parker and Lillian Brucell Payne.
A lifelong resident of the Dayton and Liberty area, David was deeply rooted in his community. He was a proud member of the First Methodist Church of Dayton and spent many years working as a realtor, helping families find their homes throughout the region he loved so much.
David had a lifelong passion for history and was well-known for sharing captivating stories about the rich past of Dayton and neighboring Louisiana. His love for antiques reflected his appreciation for the stories objects could tell, and he delighted in discovering unique treasures.
A man of many talents, David was also an excellent dancer and especially enjoyed dancing with his beloved wife of 13 years, Aline. He had a great fondness for horses—raising and caring for as many as seventeen at one time brought him great joy and fulfillment.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillian Parker, and his brother, Douglas Parker. He is survived by his devoted wife, Aline Parker; his son, Daniel Parker; and his brother, Doak Parker and Dean.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A celebration of David’s life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, 10:00 a.m., also at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home.
David will be remembered for his warmth, his stories, and his love for family, community, and life’s simple joys.
