David Alan Sargent, age 62, passed away on July 11, 2026.
David was born on April 27, 1964, in Marion, Indiana, to Roy Sargent and Wilma Kelley Sargent. He spent the last five years as a resident of Dayton, Texas, after formerly residing in Baytown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Sargent and Wilma Kelley Sargent.
David is survived by his loving daughters, Sarah Sargent and her fiancé, Justin Lankford, and Jessica Rucka and her husband, Ryan; his brothers, Jesse Silvers and Roy Sargent and his wife, Shalaine; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob Sargent, Matthew Saunders, DaisyMae Rucka, Landon Saurer, Casey Pierce, Madisyn Saurer, Dylan Pierce, Ryder Rucka, Sadie Moses, and Ryan Baby; and his great-grandchildren, Veronica Saurer and baby Ivoree Saunders, who is expected to arrive in September. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A memorial service celebrating David's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, with Pastor Tiffani Whittaker officiating.
