Celebration of Life
CTC: Church That Cares
7:30 - 8:30 pm
Delia Dianne “Dee” Dempsey, 56, passed away on March 24, 2026. Dee was born on June 20, 1969, in Torrance, California, to Roy and Alta Brown. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, mommalady, and granny, faithful friend, and a caring servant to everyone blessed to know her.
Dee loved her family with her whole heart. They were truly her world. She had a giving spirit and spent much of her life caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. She loved the Lord deeply and cherished her church family. Her faith guided the way she lived, loved, and served.
Dee found joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved fishing, being outdoors, traveling with her family, and making precious memories wherever she went. She especially loved spending time with her two grandsons, playing video games and laughing together. She also had a special gift in the kitchen and was well known for her delicious enchiladas and famous bourbon banana pudding, meals made with love that brought her family together.
For 30 years, Dee was married to the love of her life and best friend, Dale Dempsey. Their love was evident to everyone who knew them. If you saw Dee, you saw Dale, and if you saw Dale, you saw Dee. They were rarely apart, sharing a beautiful bond built on love, friendship, and devotion.
Dee never met a stranger. Once you became her friend, you became family. She loved serving the Lord and giving back in any way she could, including helping with children’s ministry, where her kindness and loving heart touched many lives.
Dee is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Dempsey; her daughter, Jelina Gray and husband Michael; her son, Justin Dempsey and wife Victoria; her grandsons, Cameron Gray and Anthony Gray; her brother, Calvin Brown; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and a host of dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Alta Brown; her brothers, Damon Brown and Pooh-Bear Brown; and her Aunt Frankie Brown.
To know Dee was to love her. Heaven became a little sweeter on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, as she was welcomed home. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we are comforted in knowing she has been made whole again and is now free from pain. Her love, faith, kindness, and beautiful spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
