Donald Richard Dean Sr.

Donald Richard Dean Sr. was born September 20, 1940, in Galveston, Texas to parents Leslie Dean and Tekla Pietsch Dean. He passed away on April 1, 2025, in Cleveland, Texas, at the age of 84. Donald had a strong faith in God and was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cleveland, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Tekla Dean; brother, Robert Dean; and son-in-law, Bubba Bunting. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Trudie Dean; children, Denise Smith and husband Louis, Donald Dean Jr. and wife Arlene, Dahna Bunting, Donella Dean, and Dennis Dean and wife Angel; grandchildren, William Smith and wife Kasey, Daniel Smith and wife Stephanie, Courtney Bell and husband Joshua, Alexander Dean, Joshua Dean, his wife Sarah, and Matthew Dean; great-grandchildren, Genevieve Smith, Jacquelin Smith, Sicilly, Addalynn Griffin, Madelynn Griffin, Elizabeth Smith, Linus Smith, and Willa Smith. 

Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 5-7 pm.
