Dorothy Ann Sessum, age 76 and a resident of Splendora, Texas, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014. She was born March 22, 1938 in Hillwood, Alabama to parents James Lamar Dyess and Mildred Josephine Moore Dyess; she is preceded in death by her father, James Lamar Dyess.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Jimmy Ray Sessum; mother, Mildred Dyess; daughter, Rose Marie Jones and husband, Dickie; son, Jimmy Lamar Sessum and wife, Karen; brothers, Bud Dyess and wife, Connie and John Dyess and wife, Elaine; sisters, Rose Anderson and husband, Talmadge; grandchildren, James Richard Jones, James David Sessum, Jason Robert Sessum and wife, Jody; great-grandchildren, James Michael Jones, Lance Austin Sessum, Lindsey Nicole Sessum and James Landon Sessum; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
