Edgar Lewis Burkes, age 70, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was born in Dekalb, Miss. on August 09, 1942 to parents, James Edgar and Mary Ellon Willingham Burkes who preceded him in death along with his granddaughter, Rebecca Burkes and special sister-in-law, Billie Cole. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Burkes; daughters, Susan Struss and husband, Henry and D’Anne Ivey and husband, Robby; sons, Edgar Burkes, JR. and Greg Burkes and wife, Bonneva; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren; nephew, Robert Cole and wife, Cathy; niece, Diana King and brother-in-law, Raymond Cole.
