Edgar Toby Dagle, 94, of Hardin, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Toby was born November 22, 1921, in Hardin, to parents; Nerville and Mittie Nugent Dagle, and has been a resident of Hardin throughout his life. He was a veteran of the US Army, a truck driver for John J. Hebert Distribution, and member of the Hardin United Pentecostal Church. He also enjoyed spending time with family, taking walks, traveling, and his yardwork.
Mr. Dagle was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Joe, Dillord, and Gilbert Dagle, sisters-in-law: Mary, Hattie, and Ruby, son-in-law: Jim Sisco, great-granddaughter: Jasmyne Cole, and great-grandson: Isaiah Harmon. He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Bernice Meadows Dagle of Hardin, daughter: Elaine Sisco of Liberty, sons: Nathan David Dagle and wife Kathy of Liberty and Kenny Dagle of Moss Hill, sister: Curly Baker of Beaumont, grandchildren: Andy, Justin, Jeffrey, Ricky, Christie, Krista, Kari, Johnathan, Stephanie, Chyenne, Lea, Jennifer, Ambria, and Crystal, great-grandchildren: Madyson, Katy, Kaylyn, Brooke, Brandon, Devon, Eyen, Seth, Remington, Clara, Ava, Alyssa, Maverick, Isaiah, Kenzie, Logan, and Baylee, special friend: Denise Frankum, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
