Edward Arnold Bonds

Edward A. Bonds, 82, of Dayton, died Monday, November 18, 2013, at his residence. Private memorial services will be held in Dayton. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Edward was born June 3, 1931 in Weldon, to parents; George W. and Edna Ellisor Bonds, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 15 years. He was a veteran of the US Army, a retired carpenter, and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He also enjoyed horses and cars. Mr. Bonds was preceded in death by his father: George Washington Bonds, mother: Edna Ellisor Bonds, and brother: Bethel Bonds. He is survived by his wife of 38 years: Phyllis Johnson McCrory of Dayton, son: Robert “Bob” McCrory and wife Elizabeth of Santa Fe, sisters: Patti Newman of Tampa, FL, Janice Pritchard and husband Pat of Ft. Worth, Barbara Stein and husband Eric of Nashville, TN, and Charlotte Baker of Houston, brother: Frank Bonds of Point Blank, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
