Edward Howard Thompson, 87, of Romayor, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at the Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2016, at the Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery in Cleveland. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland.
Edward was born February 20, 1929 in Center, to parents; Roy L. and Jenny V. May Thompson, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Romayor for the past 34 years. He was a retired truck driver and Baptist by faith. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, fishing, spending time with his family, and will be remembered as a loving husband.
Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Sylvia Odehnal Thompson, brothers: Bill W. Thompson, Theo Thompson, Leroy Thompson, Carl B. Thompson, Kelly Thompson, and Ted Thompson, and sisters: Bennie Sanford, Bonnie Nash, Betty Jo Barron, and Mary Beth Martin. He is survived by his daughter: Phillis Jefferson and husband Jim of Richmond, sons: Edward “Ed” Thompson and wife Mona of Spring and Joe St. Pierre and wife Sharon of Humble, brother: Kenneth Pete Thompson of Romayor, grandchildren: Michael Cure, Amanda Eldridge, Dana Hodkinson, and Harlee Thompson, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
