Elaine Louise Harris

Elaine Louise Harris, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. She was born on February 7, 1948, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Ellsworth Tallman and Dorothy Strouse.

 Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found her greatest joy in spending time with family. She loved visiting with people. Family gatherings were especially dear to her heart, and she cherished playing games and sharing laughter with her grandchildren. Elaine had a special love for simple pleasures—going to Cracker Barrel, shopping (especially at Walmart), and going to the movies with her friend. Coffee was a constant companion, no matter the temperature or the type; if it was coffee, she loved it. She and her family made Baytown their home for 45 years, where they built their home and shared a lifetime of memories surrounded by those she loved most.

 Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Elsworth Tallman and Dorthy Strouse, and her brothers, Michael Tallman and Gary Tallman. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Floyd Harris; her daughters Kathy Brinkley and husband Tony, Linda Brackin and husband Felton, and Connie Massey and husband Mike; her grandchildren Jeffery Brackin and wife Bianca, Kayla Spurlock and husband Jakob, Crystal Williams, Coy Brackin and wife Macy, Colton Massey, and Cayden Massey; and her great-grandchildren Bentlee Spurlock, J.J. Brackin, Zayne Spurlock, Bryndle Brown, Little Felton Brackin, and Stevie Brackin. Elaine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A celebration of her life will be held at Honey Bee Ranch Event Center in Dayton, Tx on January 3, 2026 rom 12:00 p.m.  - 4:00 p.m.
