Elizabeth M. Bernard

Elizabeth M. Bernard, 81, of Cleveland, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with rosary services at 7 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Elizabeth was born July 21, 1932 in Falealili, Western Samoan Islands, to parents; Joseph and Henrietta Marie Wulf Bernard, a former resident of Boston, and has resided in the Cleveland area for the past 36 years. She was a cook in a seminary and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Miss Bernard was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Henrietta Marie Wulf Bernard, brothers: Channel Bernard, Jacob Bernard, Alfred Bernard, Bro. John Bernard, and Mickey Bernard, sister: Lena Bernard, brother-in-law: Bud Wright. She is survived by her sisters: Marie Wright, Kalameli Horne and husband Bud, and Grace Allen and husband Mark, brothers: Joe Bernard and Frank McCoy and wife Edith, 13 nephews, 12 nieces, her companions: Billy, Pele, Lucky, and Sailor, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
