Erma Faye Mikle (Bass) was born on October 16, 1951 in Cleveland Ernest Mikle, Jr. and Vester Ree Lampkin. She received her formal education in Cleveland, TX. Erma lived a life filled with love, hard work and dedication to her family. She is preceded in death by both parents, grandparents Mollie Mikle, Rosie Lee Johnson, and Ernest Mikle, Sr.; daughter Yolanda Kaye Mikle; granddaughters Tarnesha Thomas, Jasmone Young, and Yasmine Williams; great-granddaughter Ja’ Tavia Williams, brother Johnny Lampin, and Son-in-Law Harold Stone.
Erma was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit and her ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved. She was the life of the party and her quick wit brought laughter to every room. She was a tiny woman who was filled with strength and love, always ready to offer encouragement and a home-cooked meal. Cooked by her daughters, of course! She truly cherished family gatherings, especially when she could get her five girls, as she called her daughters, all together.
Erma leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters: Tina Mikle Stone of Cleveland, TX; Tammy Mikle of Cleveland, TX; Malinda Bass Knepper (Daniel Knepper) of Rye, TX; and Brandy Bass Rogers (Clifford Rogers, Sr.) of Clinton, MD., and Jamall Lumpkin.
Erma leaves to also cherish her memories, thirteen grandchildren: Tiffany Mikle, Acaeli Mikle, Oleshia Slaughter, Alisia Pillot, U’ Raven Bass, Richard Pillot, Ursula Thomas, Shytravia Taylor, Antinesha Williams, Ya’ Haira Rogers, Lawrence Thomas, Jr.; Clifford Rogers, Jr.; and Ananda Taylor. Erma also leaves twenty-nine wonderful great-grands, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, as well as other relatives and friends who loved their play sister; and Lawanda Carter.
