Florida Elizabeth Roark Lewis, 99, of Conroe, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at her residence.
Family will greet friends from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland, with burial following at Morgan Cemetery in Splendora.
Florida was born April 9, 1918 in Cleveland, to parents; Louis and Leona Roark, a former resident of Cleveland, and has resided in Conroe for the past 15 years. She was a retired hair dresser and known to be a prayer warrior. She also enjoyed oil painting and gardening.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Jack Lewis, son: Gordon “Butch” Smith, grandson: Rodney Burton, and eight siblings. She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Sokoloski and husband Chris Johns of Conroe, step-son: Gibson D. Lewis and wife Sandra Lewis of Fort Worth, grandson: Gregory Burton and wife Cindy, and Rodney Burton of Conroe, six great-grandchildren, numerous great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
