Frances Susie Dugat Fore 1943 – 2025
Frances Susie Dugat Fore, 81, of Liberty, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025. Born in Dayton, Texas, to Joe Dugat and Henrietta Gates, Frances spent most of her life in the Liberty/Dayton area where she built a rich life centered on faith, family, and tradition.
A proud graduate of Dayton High School, Frances was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Liberty, where she found deep joy and purpose in supporting her parish. Her love of shopping was legendary, especially when it came to expanding her well-known shoe collection.
Frances lived life with passion. She was an avid hunter who kept her yard in pristine condition and a book lover who enjoyed reading a wide range of genres. A true sports enthusiast, she never missed a chance to cheer on Alabama football or the Houston Astros. Her love for horse racing added another layer of excitement to her spirited personality.
Family was the heart of Frances’s world. She was a gifted cook whose meals brought everyone together, especially at family gatherings where her sons-in-law eagerly looked forward to her delicious dishes. Frances also had a strong interest in the oil field, a curiosity sparked by her husband Wayne Fore’s work in the industry.
Frances is preceded in death by her beloved husband Wayne Fore, her parents Joe and Henrietta, and her brother Harry Dugat.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Terri Butler and husband Mickey, Connie Jamison and husband Mark, Wendy Robbins, and Sara Richardson. She also leaves behind her brother Joe Dugat and wife Nellie; grandchildren Rae Butler and fiancé Jake Moore, Lindsey Evans and husband Dusty, Amber King and husband Daniel, Garrett Jamison and wife Racheal, Andi Sims and husband Luke, Kati Slagle and husband Tanner, Kehl Robbins and wife Lauren, Maddi Rodie and husband Kade, and Blake Richardson and wife Mary. Frances was blessed with a host of great-grandchildren: Kali, Ryland, Parker, Carter, Brynlee, Hadlee, Cami, Carlee, Weston, Holt, Aylee, Brighton, Lettie, Kanon, and Owen.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. A service celebrating Frances’s life will take place on Sunday, May 4 at 2:00 p.m., also at Pace Stancil, with Deacon Archie Benham officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Richardson, Daniel King, Kehl Robbins, Dusty Evans, Garrett Jamison, Kade Rodie, Tanner Slagle, and Landon Graves.
Frances will be remembered for her strength, generosity, fierce love for her family, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her legacy will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
