Obituary for Freddie Villarreal Jr.
Freddie Villarreal Jr., 43, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. Born on August 2, 1982, in Uvalde, Texas, Freddie was the beloved son of Freddie Villarreal and Evangelina Hernandez.
Freddie spent most of his life in Dayton, where he attended Dayton High School and remained deeply rooted in his community. While he spent several months of the year in Washington State in recent years, Dayton was always home. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Liberty, where his faith was a central part of his life. Freddie was a passionate street preacher who deeply loved Jesus and was always eager to share his faith with others.
Known for his protective nature, Freddie was devoted to his family. He loved fiercely and enjoyed nothing more than spending quality time with his loved ones. He had a competitive spirit—especially when it came to board games—and was a proud fan of the Houston Texans. Freddie’s favorite time of the year was Christmas, a season he celebrated with great joy. He found delight in decorating with lights and watching holiday movies with family.
Freddie was preceded in death by his grandmothers Petra Morales and Lydia Trevino, great-great-grandmother Julia Flores, aunts Linda Garcia, Maria Trevino, and Paula Villarreal; uncles Rudy Trevino, Danny Trevino, Ruben Hernandez, and great-great-uncle Luis Flores.
He is survived by his parents, Freddie and Evangelina Villarreal; grandmother Alma Jean Dorantes; daughters Genesis Garcia and Kiara Anderson; brother Joshua Ramirez and wife Esperanza; sisters Cecilia Guia and husband Israel, and Erika Villarreal. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A funeral service will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Liberty, Texas, at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton.
Pallbearers will include Arturo Villarreal, Rodolfo Villarreal, Christian Ramirez, David Trevino, Joe Morales, Rocky Anthony Buras, Noe Garcia, and Jerry Torres.
Freddie’s life was a reflection of his faith, love, and dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
