Frieda Carter
White
August 20, 1947 — August 3, 2026

Saturday
Frieda Carter White, beloved wife, mother, Nana, pastor, Bible teacher, author, humanitarian, and faithful follower of Jesus Christ, completed her earthly race and entered the presence of her Savior on August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
More than any accomplishment she achieved, Frieda desired to be known as a woman who loved Jesus. Her faith was the foundation of her life and the source of her deep love for her family, the local church, and her community. She believed that the greatest calling in life was to know Christ and make Him known.
Born in Arkansas and raised in Kentucky, Frieda attended the University of Kentucky and later earned a Master's Degree in Ministry from Vision University.
In 1984, Frieda and her husband, Bob, founded Liberty Church in Cleveland, Texas, where together they faithfully served for more than forty years. In 2001, she founded Operation Refuge, a nonprofit ministry that has faithfully served thousands of families throughout the community. A gifted Bible teacher, Frieda shared God's Word across the United States and in fourteen nations and authored more than twenty books and Bible studies.
While many knew Frieda through her ministry, those closest to her knew her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mom, and a proud Nana who intentionally built a home where faith was lived, love was abundant, and her family treasured. She poured herself into her children and grandchildren, creating memories, celebration milestones, cheering them on, and passing down a legacy of faith that will continue for generations to come.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Oliver and Marie Carter; her sister, Linda Logsdon; her brother, Doug Carter; and her beloved granddaughter, Jessica Faith Bostwick. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Bob White; her children, Chas White; Joshua White; and Paige Bostwick and her husband, Preston; her daughter by love, Katherine Nehmer; her cherished grandchildren, Zachary, Kaylie, Braden, Olive, Maximo, and Magnolia; her brother, Dr. Steve Carter, and his wife, Sharon; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family members, her Liberty Church family, her Operation Refuge family, and dear friends.
Although her family deeply grieves her absence, they rejoice in the sure hope of the resurrection and the renewal of all things. Frieda is now fully alive and in the presence of her Lord and Savior. Her legacy of faith, compassion, service and unwavering love for Jesus and her family will continue for generations to come.
