Gary Wayne Pickering “Pick” was born February 24, 1955 in Cleveland, Texas to parents, James Edward Pickering and Dorothy Marie Motteshard Pickering. He passed away in Houston, Texas on December 22, 2025 at the age of 70. Gary loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, watching wildlife from his front porch and spending time with his roommate/favorite child(dog) Smoke. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Dorothy Marie Pickering; brothers, Billy Pickering, Joe Lyn Pickering, and Johnny Pickering. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Tracee McHugh and Mary Ann Smith and husband Dale Smith; beloved grandchildren, Emma McHugh, Ruairi McHugh, Bailee Smith, and Addison Smith; beloved brothers, Robert Pickering, Richard Pickering, and Paul Pickering. No services are scheduled at this time and he will be laid to rest, at a later date, with his parents at Montague Cemetery.
