George Robert O'Connor

George Robert O’Connor, 92, of Cleveland, died October 1, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, October 4, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens in Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m., to 10 a.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Mr. O’Connor was born December 18, 1922 in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, to parents; George William and Geneva Alfred O’Connor. He was a high school graduate, veteran of the US Army with service during WW II, and a retired transport driver. M. O’Connor was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Ruth O’Connor, and stepson: Jackie Kirkland. He is survived by his daughters: Mary Lou Stephens and husband Brian and Patty Willis and husband Jerry, stepchildren: Ruth Ellen Hidalgo, Benny Kirkland, Joe Kirkland, and Judy Sullivan, sister: Betty Reeves, grandchildren: Chantal Walker and husband Nick, Ryan Willis, and Jeremy Willis, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
