Gerald Henry Helterline

Gerald H. Helterline, 90, of Coldspring, died Friday, December 28, 2012, at the Abundant Life Care Facility in Conroe. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Coldspring. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Gerald was born March 16, 1922 in Plains, MT, to parents; Henry H. and Marguerite E. Lapointe Helterline, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Coldspring for the past 36 years. He was a veteran of the merchant marines, a shipping navigator by trade, catholic by faith, and enjoyed sculpting and painting. Mr. Helterline was preceded in death by his father: Henry H. Helterline, mother: Marguerite Lapointe Swoboda, wife of 55 years: Ines M. Victoria Helterline, and brother: Leonard L. Swoboda. He is survived by his daughter: Amelia Helterline of Coldspring and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
