Glenda Nell Westbrook Moore
Glenda was born in Ennis, TX to RV and Winnie Westbrook and moved to Houston, TX as a young child where she attended Aldine schools. She was a great mom to her children whom she raised in both Spring Branch and Spring, TX. As a young mom she worked at Jimmy Green Chevrolet and Saia Motor Freight in the bookkeeping departments. She volunteered at her children’s schools and was a stay-at-home mom as well. Glenda dreamed of owning a little country store and that is what brought her and her family to Oakhurst, TX in 1985. They lived there until the passing of Steve in 2015. Since that time, Glenda began to show signs of dementia and her family cared for her through it. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and friends, enjoyed gardening, taking short and long road trips, eating at Burger King, enjoyed flea market finds, attending ladies Bible study, volunteering at AWANA and most importantly, she loved the Lord. She wasn’t a perfect person, as none of us are, but her faith was in the one perfect person, Jesus, the son of God. He paid her sin debt. God keeps his promises, so we who trust Jesus as our Savior will be reunited with her again. Her faith has been made sight! Praise the Lord!
