Harry Joe Weaver

Harry Joe Weaver, 89, died Wednesday, December 02, 2015 in Liberty. Services for Mr. Weaver will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton with Rev. Bobby Lawrence and Rev. Brandon Williams officiating. Music will be provided by the Bethel Singers. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation for Mr. Weaver will be at 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers are grandsons and great grandsons, Eddie Hector, Justin Hector, Marcus Weaver, William Hector, Matthew Meade, Jordan Norris and Tyler Norris. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Hector, Jonathan Hector, and Chase Fleming. He was born July 19, 1926 in Biardstown, Lamar County, Texas to parents, William and Sadie Weaver. Harry had a good life. He enjoyed many things especially his family and Bessie, his wife. He was an ordained Assembly of God minister. His greatest joy was walking side by side with God serving in the ministry including pastoring seven churches, evangelizing throughout Oklahoma and Texas. Harry greatly enjoyed doing missionary work along the Amazon River in Brazil establishing and building many churches as well as establishing a Bible college to train native ministers. He often said that he had a great desire to lay sheaves at the Masters feet. He enjoyed other professions before and during his ministry including working as a skilled machinist using very small tolerances and exotic metals for the space program. He owned a construction business where he designed and built houses. Harry was preceded in death by daughter, Barbara LaVonne Hector of Dayton, Texas; parents, William and Sadie Weaver, sisters, Juanita Weaver, Suzi Ann Weaver and Catherine Florene Stewart; and brother Melvin Leo Weaver all of Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of over seventy years, Bessie Weaver; son-in-law, Eddie Hector of Dayton, Texas; daughter, Sandra Ling and husband Terry of China, Texas; son, Michael Weaver and fianc Cheryl Welch of Porter; one sister, Rachel Webb and husband Walter of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Kenneth Weaver and wife Donna of Farris, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Karen Springer and husband Kevin of Conroe, Eddie Hector and wife Virginia of Dayton, Sheila Meade and husband Tim of Kingwood, Angela Norris and husband James of Hardin, Justin Hector of Houston, Marcus Weaver and wife Julie of Batson, Christy Sloane and husband Scott of Porter, Misti LaBorde and husband Brian of Buda, Lindsi Fleming and husband Lee of Liberty; 12 great grandchildren, William Hector, Matthew Meade and wife Natalie, Kati Hill and husband Tony, Kayla Springer, Taylor Dooley and husband Billy, Kaitlin Springer, Jordan Norris, Tyler Norris, Justin Hector, Jonathan Hector, Chase Fleming and Jayda Hector; three great-great grandchildren, Sophia Meade, Madilynn Hill and Sawyer Meade; eight step-grandchildren, Tommy, Regina, Renee, Katherine, Casey, Alivia, Stormy and Haley; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
