Obituary

Helen Genita McAdams, 83, passed away on September 5, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas. She was born on February 26, 1943, in Hemphill, Texas, to Maudie and Clyde Flowers.

Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was centered around the people she loved most. Family was incredibly important to Helen, and throughout her life, she created countless memories that will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Her love and devotion to her family could be seen in the way she cared for them, supported them, and treasured the time they spent together.

Helen shared her life with her beloved husband, David McAdams. Together, they built a family that became one of Helen's greatest blessings. She was a devoted mother to her three sons, David, Wayne, and Phil, and her daughter, Lyneta. As her family grew, so did Helen's heart. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, each of whom held a very special place in her life.

Helen's family will remember not only the love she gave them, but also the comfort of simply knowing she was there. The memories made through the years, the family gatherings, the conversations, the laughter, and the ordinary moments that now mean so much will forever be treasured. Her presence in their lives can never be replaced, but the love she gave will continue to live on through the generations of her family.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving parents, Maudie and Clyde Flowers; beloved husband, David McAdams; brothers, Ray Flowers, Frank Flowers, Paul Flowers, Jay Flowers, and Bill Flowers; and sister, Reba Flowers.

She is survived by her loving sons, David McAdams and wife Kaye, Wayne McAdams and wife Carol, and Phil McAdams and wife Catherine; beloved daughter, Lyneta McAdams Kennedy and husband Steve; sisters, Kay Flowers and Faye Flowers; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
