Isaul Rodriguez

Isaul Rodriguez Jr., lovingly known as “The Iceman,” was born on August 30, 1955, and passed away on December 2, 2025.

He was the beloved son of Santa Contreras and Isaul Rodriguez Sr., the devoted husband of Paula Parks, and the proud father of Christy Maldonado and Roxanne Garcia.He was also the cherished grandfather of Ashton Pruitt, Crimson Pruitt, Alysabeth Urdiales, Zachary Maldonado, Alyson Urdiales, and Caleb Wheeler.He is survived by his siblings David Rodriguez, Lily Rodriguez, Karen Lopez, and Carlos Rodriguez.

Jr was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He raised his two granddaughters, Alysabeth and Alyson, as if they were his own. He was the hardest working man anyone has ever known, dedicating his career as a commercial HVAC technician for local restaurants. He loved his westerns, enjoyed riding and caring for his horses, and cherished playing with his dogs.

He also loved performing sleight-of-hand magic tricks, like pulling a quarter from behind your ear or making three red balls disappear between his fingers. He loved to tell jokes that could brighten any room and was always a great listener, offering thoughtful advice when it was needed most. He had a gift for making people smile and was known for his kindness, always willing to help others and go above and beyond for those he cared about. He cherished birthday celebrations — sometimes even celebrating twice — because he believed every milestone deserved to be cherished. Above all, he lived with a selfless love, putting his family’s needs before his own, and finding his greatest joy in their happiness.

He will be deeply missed by his wife and family, always loved and never forgotten. His memory will forever live in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
