James Bryan Chesser was born in Conroe, Texas on December 19, 1968 to parents, James Wade Chesser and Sandra Lilley Chesser. He passed away June 28, 2025 at the age of 56 years.
Bryan was a life-long resident of Baytown, Texas. He received Christ at a young age. His childhood years were typical of the time – Little League and youth church activities of camp, Vacation Bible School, choir, and mission trips.
Bryan graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School and attended Lee College. He worked in Oil Field/Environment Services for several years. More recently he was a Service Advisor for Honda.
Bryan loved his family and actively supported his daughter’s involvement in Special Olympics. The family attends Church at the Ranch.
Bryan was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed fishing the Texas coastal waters. He also enjoyed boating and fishing Lake Livingston with three generations of his family since the lake was established.
Bryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Darlyne Chesser, Harvey and Wanda Lilley; and step father-in-law, William Vinson. Bryan is survived by his beloved wife Shawna Fuselier Chesser, beloved parents, James and Sandra Chesser; beloved children, Brandon Chesser and Britney Lee and; brother, Michael Chesser; sister, Melanie Puckitt; grandchildren, Jayce Chesser and MeLynn Le Blanc; mother-in-law, Shirley Vinson; brother-in-law, Jean Fuselier.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, July 7, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Coldspring at 12pm with Bro. Dalton Currie officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Chesser, Michael Chesser, Keith Chesser, Trey Puckitt, Micah Cole, and James T. Robison Jr.
