James H. Jimmy Johnson, 80, of Hull, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at the Clairmont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Jimmy was born April 21, 1935 in Helena, Arkansas to parents; Emmett and Lacey Lawrence Johnson, a former resident of Liberty, and has resided in Hull for the past 25 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy, a self-employed carpenter, and of the Pentecostal faith. He also enjoyed listening to music, writing music, and animals. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Irene Howard Johnson of Hull, son: Van Clifford Johnson and wife Betty of Nevada, brother: Adolph Johnson and wife Lela of Liberty, grandchildren: Harvey John Johnson and Cristy Johnson-Willis, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
