James Howard Jones

James H. Jones, 65, of Dayton, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at his residence.Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.James was born October 2, 1946 in Sinton, to parents; Jackson W. and Ellen L. Knight Jones, a former resident of Corpus Christi, and has resided in Dayton for the past 40 years. He was a graduate of the Robert E. Lee High School, attended the Howard Payne University, member of the American Legion, and was a retired Senior Research Technician from Exxon. He also enjoyed farming, barbecues, and especially spending time with family and friends. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father: Jackson W. Jones and brother: Jack Jones. He is survived by his wife of 40 years: Donna Baugh Jones of Dayton, daughters: Stephanie White and husband Kyle of Dayton, Holly Rodgers and husband David of Dayton, and Tanya Meton and husband Nick of West Des Moines, IA, son: Lance Jones and Brandy of Dayton, mother: Ellen Knight Jones of Baytown, brother: Larry Jones and wife Mary of Baytown, sister: Caryl Jones and husband Morris of Temple, grandchildren: Ethan, Carly, Chelsea, Lee, Kayde, Ridik, Harley, Trey, Scoutt, Zane, Kody, Karrie, Madison, and Abigayle, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
