James L Chesson

James L. “Jim” Chesson, Jr., age 74, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. He was born May 13, 1948, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to parents James L. Chesson, Sr., and Gladys Mays Chesson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Gerlynn Deshotel.

Jim Chesson was a resident of Texas for 32 years. He was owner/operator of Jim’s Repair Service, retiring in 2010. Jim was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Cleveland.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Julie Demarets Chesson; his sons, Michael Chesson, James Chesson and wife Amanda, Christopher Chesson, and Bradley Chesson; his daughter, Shelley Crenshaw; his sister, Charlotte Firmin and husband Lewis; brother-in-law, Bobby LeJeune and wife Bonnie Jean; seventeen grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous dear friends and neighbors.
