Janet Faye Smith

Janet Faye Williams Smith, 78, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026.

Janet was born on May 8, 1948, in Sikeston, Missouri, to John Floyd Williams and Ruth Modene Guiling Williams. She attended Pueblo High School in Tucson, Arizona, graduating with the Class of 1966.

A woman of grace and beauty, Janet worked as a model for Montgomery Ward and Neiman Marcus in her younger years. She later built a successful career with Schlumberger, where she worked for 25 years before retiring in 2000. While she took pride in her professional accomplishments, her greatest joy was always her family.

Janet was married for 50 years to the love of her life, Tommy Smith. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud Nana. Taking care of her family was the center of her life, and she found her greatest happiness in creating a loving home and making cherished memories with those she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Floyd Williams and Ruth Modene Guiling Williams; and her sisters, Wanda Lee Williams Reiber, Billie Mallery, and Linda Williams.

Janet is survived by her beloved husband, Tommy Smith; her daughter, Patricia White; her sisters, Patricia Brown, Jonnie Hall, and Sandra McHenry; and her treasured grandson, Bradley Thomas White. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Janet's legacy of love, kindness, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
