Janis Lee Kennedy

Janis Lee Jones Kennedy, 63, of Dayton, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Janis was born February 1, 1952 in Hernando, Mississippi, to parents; Lawrence and Billie Sue Jones. She was a graduate of Hornlake High School, member of Fisher Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She also enjoyed using the computer. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her father: Lawrence Jones, mother: Billie Sue Sheffield, and brothers: Larry and Ernest Jones. She is survived by her husband of 35 years: Mike Kennedy of Dayton, daughter: Marilyn Fizel of Dayton, son: Russell Scott of Mississippi, grandchildren: Jacob Fizel, Nicole Fizel, Joey Scott, and Josh Scott, great-grandchildren: Conner Large and Elliott Fizel, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
