Jean Marie Ford, age 91, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026. Jean was born on January 12, 1935, in Floresville, Texas, to John Ray Jackson Sr. and Claudia Marie Pullin Jackson. She lived a long and fulfilling life centered around faith, family, and the simple joys of homemaking. Jean was a resident of Dayton, Texas, for the past three years and was formerly a resident of Cologne, Texas, near Victoria.

Jean took great pride in being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She cherished raising her family and creating a warm and welcoming home for those she loved. An excellent cook, Jean found joy in preparing meals for family and friends and especially treasured teaching her granddaughter how to cook, passing along family recipes and traditions that will continue for generations.

Jean was a member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and achieved remarkable success in her weight-loss journey. Her dedication and accomplishment earned her recognition as the winner of a weight-loss competition, and she was proudly featured on the cover of the organization's magazine.

Family was the center of Jean's life. She dearly loved her grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She shared a special bond with her twin brother, Jerry, and the two remained close throughout their lives, carrying with them a lifetime of cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Ray Jackson Sr. and Claudia Marie Pullin Jackson; her beloved husband of 70 years Joseph “Bob” V. Ford Jr.; and her brothers, John Ray "Ray" Jackson Jr., Douglas Jackson, her twin brother Jerry Jackson, and Kenneth Jackson.

Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Kenneth Ford and wife Linda, and Thomas Ford; her sister, Mildred Harris; her grandchildren, Rebekah Banks and husband John, Jacob Ford, Shannon Ford, Brandace Ford, and Justin Ford; and her great-grandchildren, Lily Banks and Julie Banks, along with numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
