Jeannette Carson Thompson, born October 27, 1950, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith.
Jeannette was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished sister, and a beloved aunt. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was “Mawmaw”, a name spoken with warmth, comfort, and deep affection. Her family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them.
She embodied the spirit of truth, faith, love, and honesty in all that she did. Jeannette lived her life with integrity and compassion, always offering a kind word, a listening ear, and a steady presence to those who needed it most. Her faith guided her, her love sustained those around her, and her honesty and strength left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her daughter Rejeanna Knowles and husband James Seidel; her daughter Melissa Schmidt and husband Travis; her daughter Carrie Barraford; her son Joe Carson and wife Rosanna; her son Tim Thompson and wife Danita; and her son Alan Thompson and wife Kelley. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 4 sisters, along with a host of other family members and many dear friends who will cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Tom E. Thompson; three sisters, Diana Slay, Loretta Carson, and Lynn Gerard; her parents Nelda and Murphy Dupre and Milton and Imogene Carson ; and her beloved granddaughter, Winterrose Schmidt.
Jeannette’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched. Her memory will be carried forward in the stories shared, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life will be held at her daughter, Melissa’s house on May 3rd from 12-4pm.
