Jesse Virgil Moss

Jesse Virgil Moss, 86, of Dayton, TX, died Saturday, February 15, 2014, at the Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12 p.m. till time of Service. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Jesse Virgil Moss was born April 28, 1927 to parents; Gilbert and Vallie Barrow Moss. Mr. Moss graduated from Anahuac High School, and was in the Army–Air Corps during WWII. He also was a Senior Production Foreman at Sun Oil where he worked for 40 years. Mr. Moss was a Mason over 50 years. Mr. Moss was a member of Grace Community Church. He also loved listening to Bluegrass and Gospel music. He also had a special love for his cats. Jesse Moss was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years: Joyce Fountain Moss of Dayton; daughter: Kay Adamson and husband Ryle of Nederland, TX; Granddaughter: Allison Adamson of Beaumont; Grandson: Carlton Adamson, Jr. of Beaumont, TX.; two great-grand-children, one great-great child. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends survived. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to: Grace Community Church, 8073 FM.1960, Dayton, Texas.
