Jimmy Wayne Hill

Jimmy Wayne Hill, 71, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on June 3, 2025. He was born to Charles Alexander Hill and Helen Marie Block.

Jimmy was a man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially time spent with his children and grandchildren. He had a deep love for fishing, particularly with his grandkids, and was always up for a new adventure, even if his favorite part was arriving at the destination. Jimmy had a knack for tinkering and working with his hands, often found fixing things or coming up with creative solutions. He had a passion for cooking and was known as an excellent cook, always on the lookout for inspiration from his favorite cooking shows.

With a warm heart and a quick wit, Jimmy brought laughter and joy to those around him. He had a special talent for making people smile, and his sense of humor was a cherished trait among his family and friends. He also had a love for motorcycles and the open road, a spirit of freedom that mirrored his approach to life.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathy Lowe.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Janette Hill; sons, James Hill and wife Chasity, and Jason Hill and wife J-Lynne; grandchildren, Brandin Hill, Jacob Hill, Juniper Hill, Molly Collier, Olivia Collier; and sisters, Janet Atkinson, Nancy Black, Peggy Sheppard, Cindy Ansley, and Mitzi Greenwood. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

A private family viewing will be held. No other services are planned at this time.

Jimmy will be remembered for his humor, his heart, and the way he brought people together. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the love he shared.
