John Durwood Frazier was born November 20, 1960, in Longview, Texas, to parents William “Bill” Frazier and Betty (Ousley) Frazier. He passed away on September 16, 2025, in Odessa, Texas, at the age of 64.
John studied criminal justice at Kilgore College, served as a law enforcement officer with the Palestine Police Department, and later retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before joining Target Hospitality Corp., assisting with workforce housing. He had a deep passion for art and studied 3D animation at The Art Institute of Houston. An exceptional artist and comic enthusiast, his favorite pastime was simply spending time with friends and family.
John is preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Frazier; his beloved wife, Cheryl Frazier; his son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Shea Frazier; his son, Austin Frazier; and his sister, Susan Frazier. He is survived by his beloved children, Brandon and Jillian Frazier, Brian Frazier and Elizabeth Taylor, Jessica Meeks, Kelly and Chris Reames, Chase Day, and Sommer Day; his brother, William Frazier; and his grandchildren: Reese, Corbin, Grant, Raina, Harmony, Paisley, Sienna, Micah, and Isabelle; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 29, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Matthew Andrew officiating.
