John Walton Savoy

John W. Savoy, 87, of Hardin, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016, at his residence.

The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton.

John was born January 2, 1929 in Beaumont, to parents; John L. and Daphne Busha Savoy. He was a retired soy bean farmer and pilot. He also enjoyed reading, history, classical music, and his beloved dogs.

Mr. Savoy was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Janice Petmecky. He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Sapp Savoy of Hardin, stepdaughters: Sheryl Broussard and Randa Carrington, stepson: John Scott McCraw, numerous other relatives and friends.
