Joshua Christopher Ivie

Joshua Christopher Ivie was born May 18, 1990 in Houston, Texas to parents, Merlin David Ivie and Leta Kathleen Ward Ivie. He passed away tragically February 3, 2024 in Houston, Texas at the age of 33. Always the life of the party, craziest in the room and had an infectious smile that would light up the darkest room. Hardworking was an understatement when it came to not only his job but being the best Girl Dad ever. He had a love for music, motorcycles, tattoos and most of all his deep friendships created over the years. Although he was rough around the edges at times he was unapologetically him which was a trait everyone cherished most. Even though his time here on earth was cut short he left unforgettable memories to everyone he met and will be missed tremendously.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin David Ivie; grandparents, Aaron Junior Ward and Macy Janette Ward and C.C. Ivie Jr and Joyce Juanita Ivie. Joshua is survived by his mother, Kathleen Ivie; beloved wife of 8 years, Kelsey Ivie; daughters, Cheyenne, Oaklynn, and Aurora Ivie; fur son, “Boss”; brothers, David Aaron Ivie, Chris Platzer and wife Tammy; sisters, Michelle Denise Ivie, Anna Belle Pigott and husband William; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Visitation will be in the Pace-Stancil Chapel on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 2-3pm. Funeral Service will begin at 3:30pm with Bro. Glen Mead officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be, William Pigott, Timothy Brown, Chris Platzer, and David Ivie. Honorary Pallbearers will be numerous friends and family.
