Joyce Laverne Duke

Joyce Laverne Duke Johnson was born on July 25, 1933 in Splendora Texas and passed away on August 25, 2025 in New Caney Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Oscar Duke and Mable Barrow Duke, Sisters Jessie M Duke, Francis D Cochran. Brother Walter E Duke, and her son David W. Oakley. She is survived by her grandson David Oakley, and his wife Jennifer and their four children Hannah, Jaxson, Savannah and Beau. Her brother Curtis O. Duke, and wife Cindy. Her stepdaughter Angela and her family and her dear friend Cecil. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. After her retirement from Krogers in Kingwood at the age of 76 she loved bingo at the EMC Senior Center that she attended often until the age of 92.

There will be a private celebration of life later in September.
