Juanita Louise Shirley

Juanita Louise Shirley of Tarkington Prairie passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the age of 76. Nita was born October 24, 1948 in Louisiana to parents Elwin J. and Theresa DeVillier who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Edward DeVillier and Robert DeVillier; and her husband of 54 years Ronald Ray Shirley.

Nita is survived by her children, Christine Shippey and husband Dwayne, Ronald Shirley II and wife Salina; Robert Shirley and wife Cayse; grandchildren, Dustin Shippey and wife Katy, Clinton Shippey, Meghan Shirley, Ronald Shirley III, Rebekah Shirley, Ryan Shirley; great-granddaughter, Hazel Shippey; sister, Lorraine Owens; along with many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 5pm-7:30pm in the at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10am at Cornerstone Church in Cleveland, Texas with Pastor Timothy Magee officiating. Burial will follow in Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington. Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Hollingsworth, Dennis Hollingsworth, Jr., Darrell Hollingsworth, Doug LeJeune, Steven LeJeune, Stephen Herndon, and Shane Parker.
