Julius Ray Brock

Julius Ray Brock, 72, of Liberty, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Julius was born March 3, 1942 in Sulphur, Louisiana and was a resident of the Liberty/Anahuac area for the past 30 years. He was a retired truck and wrecker driver, and enjoyed mechanic work and collecting. Mr. Brock was preceded in death by his father: John D. Brock, mother: Ellen Duhon Brock, birth mother: Gurty LoBove, daughter: Kimberly Slaughter, son: Jerry Reinier, and granddaughter: Jennifer McDaniel. He is survived by his daughter: Vickie Fatheree and husband Tim of Liberty, son: Daniel Brock of Liberty, sisters: Ann Carlson and husband Ronnie of LaPorte, Eula Deshotel ad husband Russell of Louisiana, Dorothy LoBove of Pasadena, and Laura Richard and husband Israel of Louisiana, brothers: Rusty LoBove of Louisiana, Wallace LoBove of Louisiana, and Ricky LoBove of Louisiana, 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
