Karen Ann Jackson

Karen Ann Jackson was born in Houston, Texas on August 16, 1954 to parents, Leo Lobpries and Rosalie Kainer Lobpries. She passed away in The Woodlands, Texas on May 12, 2025 at the age of 70 years. After graduating from St. Pius X High School, Karen worked for Prudential Insurance for eight years, then left to devote her time to raising her children. Once her children were older, she worked for Chelsea Deli in Kingwood, Texas for nearly 20 years before retiring. 

Karen always found joy in sewing and often made beautiful handmade gifts for loved ones. She contributed countless volunteer hours to Foster Elementary and her children’s Cub Scout and Girl Scout troops. She served as a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Christ the King #1750. Karen will be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion for her family and friends. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Rosalie Lobpries. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, James Jackson; beloved children, Kevin Jackson and wife Jaclyn Jackson, Laura Grazier and Jeremy Grazier, and Sarah Jackson and Brandon Verklas; sisters, Marcia Reynolds and Jim Reynolds, and Debbie Buck and Ronnie Buck; grandchildren, Marissa Jackson, Jarett Jackson, Ethan Jackson, James Grazier, Leo Grazier, Dylan Verklas, and Scarlett Verklas; and numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and grand nieces. 

Visitation will be Monday, May 26, 2025 from 9-10am at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rosary Service will begin at 10am and the Mass Service will begin at 11am with Father John Samuel and Deacon John Murrell officiating. A reception will be held after the service at the Knights of Columbus Hall at 607 East Whitney, Houston, Texas 77022. Burial Services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in the Evergreen Cemetery with Father Dao Kim Nguyen officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be, Jeremy Grazier, John Reynolds, Chris Buck, Ryan Buck, Corey Buck, and Dylan Verklas.
