Kenneth Eugene Shelton

Kenneth Eugene Shelton was born November 22, 1933, in Cleveland, Texas to parents, John Howard Shelton Sr. and Addie Smith Shelton. He entered Heavens Gates on October 24, 2025, at the age of 91 years. Kenneth lived his life under God’s grace and salvation serving in the ministry as Pastor of several churches since the 1950s. He retired from pastoring in Hempstead, Texas and had since served faithfully as Missions Director of his beloved church home Calvary Baptist Church, Coldspring, Texas. He will always remain father, grandfather, great-grandfather and more to family and friends that truly lived, loved and laughed with him daily. He left precious moments in the lives of all who knew him. First and foremost, he wanted everyone to know his Father, Lord and Savior in this life so we can gather together in the next. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, John and Addie Shelton; wives, Patricia Lanell Shelton and Joyce Shelton; daughter, Janet Magnon; great granddaughter, Lilybelle Shelton; brothers, John Howard Shelton Jr. and Lennon Shelton. He is survived by his sons, Kenneth Wayne Shelton Sr and wife Shelly, and Jeremy N. Shelton and wife Nicole; son-in-law, Hank Magnon; grandchildren, Tonya Gahn, Kelli Cruz, Kenneth Partlow-Shelton Jr., Christy Shelton, Jeremy Partlow- Shelton, Evan Partlow, Laney Shelton, and Maya Shelton; great-grandchildren, Tanner Gahn, Gentry Cruz, Janis Cruz, Aidan Shelton, Carlisle Shelton, Nolan Partlow-Shelton, Eden Partlow, and Jude Partlow; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Coldspring, Texas from 1:30-2pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm with Bro. Mike Minter officiating. Burial will follow in the Cleveland Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Kenneth Partlow-Shelton Jr., Jeremy Partlow-Shelton, Evan Partlow, Tanner Gahn, Gentry Cruz and Aidan Shelton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hank Magnon, Edgar Cruz, and Mike Shelton.
