Kerry Patrick Stentz, was born on July 30, 1947, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was the last of four children born to Albert and Rose, and the baby of 10 other siblings brought into their union, all of which have proceeded him in death. He was born in the same hospital three years before the girl he would later meet in 1963 and marry in 1965. Dottie Lynn was the love of his life and even though everyone said they would never last, they stood side by side almost from the time they met. Where she went, he went, even if he had to hitchhike. They were married 60 years and 10 months. KP was hilarious, and always the life of the party. He could clear a dance floor. He taught himself how to play the banjo and with it, he and his other little brother, Bobby, would take off on many adventures. They would return hours, days and sometimes weeks later, with some of the craziest memories ever to be had. He loved to fish and had no problem with no babysitter because by the time his girls were waist high, they knew how to hang on tight while crossing the dam. He loved to eat fish as much as he loved catching them. There was one more thing he loved as much as dirt bikes, fish, and his girls and that was getting his back rubbed. His mama spoiled him rotten with rubbing his back from birth and his Mom-ya picked up where she left off and rubbed his back every single day for the rest of his life. He will live on in the hearts and stories of those who knew him. Kerry is survived by his loving spouse, Dottie Stentz; daughter, Dorie Stentz; 3 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great-Grandchild. Along with other family members, cousins, and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Stentz and Rose Collier; children, Andrea Stentz and Carolyn Stentz; and great-grandchild, James Espinoza.
