Kevin Louis Ward

Kevin Louis Ward, a beloved member of the Coldspring, Texas community, passed away on May 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends. Born on January 3, 1971, in Conroe, Texas, Kevin was the son of John Louis Ward and Helen Stanfield Ward.

Growing up in the tight-knit community of Tarkington Prairie, Kevin attended Tarkington High School, where he graduated with the class of 1989. Even after leaving high school, Kevin remained deeply connected to his classmates, earning a reputation as the friend who was always there to offer advice and support.

After high school, Kevin pursued higher education at Oklahoma State University, where he was a proud member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Following his academic pursuits, Kevin embarked on a professional journey that led him to work as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau, and later on in the family propane business in Cleveland, Texas. However, it was his venture into real estate photography with "The First Impression Real Estate Photography" that truly showcased his talent and dedication to his craft, leaving a lasting impression on his clients and peers.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Kevin was deeply committed to serving his community and giving back to those in need. Alongside a friend, Buba Crye, he founded the "Santa's Not So Little Helpers" Christmas charity, bringing joy and hope to local children during the holiday season. His passion for philanthropy touched the lives of many and exemplified his compassionate spirit.

In his leisure time, Kevin found joy in pursuing his hobbies of photography and swimming, as well as cheering on his alma mater, Oklahoma State University, and the Houston Astros. He also took pleasure in assisting his wife of 22 years, Bonnie, with her interior design work and indulging in his love for landscaping.

Above all else, Kevin's greatest joy and priority were his wife and children. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to ensuring their happiness and well-being, cherishing every moment spent together as a family.

Kevin is preceded in death by his aunt, Jan Orr, and is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Ward; his adoring children, Kreed Ward and Kwyncie Ward; his parents, John and Helen Ward; his brother, Chance Ward, and sister, Kasey Ward; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a vast network of friends.
