Obituary

Lancene Kay Ramsey DeBorde, age 67, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026.

Born on October 19, 1958, in Baytown, Texas, Lancene was the daughter of Bobby Ramsey and Hilda Wilburn Seilhan. She attended Barbers Hill Schools and devoted her life to caring for her family as a homemaker.

Lancene shared 48 loving years of marriage with her husband, Lee Webster DeBorde. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They enjoyed attending drag races together, and Lancene also loved playing bingo, collecting pens and spending quiet evenings watching Heartland. She was a longtime member of the Baytown community and a former resident of Rusk, Texas, where she lived for ten years.

Above all else, Lancene treasured her family. Her love, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of those around her, and the memories she created will be forever held close by those who knew and loved her. If she met you once, she never forgot your name, face, and details of how you met.

She is lovingly survived by her husband of 48 years, Lee Webster DeBorde; her son, Lee Eugene DeBorde; her daughter, Mary Lucille DeBorde; her sisters; Linda Pickard and husband Skip; Lisa Bean and husband, Butch; her brother, Michael ”Chip” Cox; and her beloved grandchildren, Owen Martin and Kenzie Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Ramsey and Hilda Wilburn Seilhan, and her grandparents, Hicks and Ruth Wilburn.

A funeral service celebrating Lancene’s life will be held at Northside Baptist Church July 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with Visitation; 11:00 a.m. with Service followed by Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. in Baytown, Texas, with Pastor Jay Wash officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown, Texas.
