Leonard Leo Strawther was born in Buna, Texas, to Andrew and Louise Strawther. He passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and devotion to family.

Leonard was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing for and caring for those he loved. Family was the center of his life, and he will be remembered as a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend whose strength and kindness touched many.

He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Shankles; his brothers, Billy Ray Strawther and wife Jewel, and Johnny Wayne Strawther; his grandchildren, Catherine Young, April Young, and Melody Young; his great-grandchildren, Melissa Arnold, Jennifer Arnold, and Susan Arnold; and his great-great-grandchildren, Lisa Arnold, Savana Perdue, and Tommy Perdue.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Louise Strawther; his beloved wife, Mildred Strawther; his daughter, Dianna Young; son-in-law, Sonny Shankles; and his grandchildren, Lee Shankles and Kimberly Shankles.
