Leslie Ann Deen, 69, of Huffman, Texas, passed away on December 21, 2025. She was born on June 25, 1956, in Beaumont, Texas, to James Harvey Bell and Bettye Jayne Bell.
Leslie spent 57 years in Huffman, where she built a life rooted in service, friendship, and deep community ties. She was a longtime member of Atascocita Community Church and was well known for her involvement and leadership throughout the area. Leslie formerly served as president of a local garden club and was an active member of a Bunco group, where her friendship and laughter were cherished.
Her career reflected her dedication to public service. Leslie worked for Harris County as a Fire Marshal Officer and advanced to the role of Assistant Fire Marshal. She later retired in 2012 from Justice Information Management Systems. In addition, she served on the Emergency Services District (ESD) Board, continuing her commitment to supporting emergency services in her community.
Leslie married her high school sweetheart, Ricky Deen, whom she had known since the eighth grade, and they shared 51 years of marriage together. She loved traveling—especially RV trips—along with spending time at the beach and enjoying shopping outings. Leslie had a gift for making friends and maintained a wide circle of lifelong friendships.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Harvey Bell and Bettye Jayne Bell, and her brother, James Regan Bell.
Leslie is survived by her loving husband, Ricky Deen; her son, Jason Deen and wife Marcy; her daughter, Heather Odell and husband Darren; her brother, James Bell and wife Debbie; her cherished grandchildren, Derek, Dylan, and Danni Odell, and Jillian, Jackson, and Jett Deen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will deeply miss her.
Leslie Ann Deen will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her lifelong commitment to public service, and the kindness, joy, and friendship she shared so freely with all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that each person consider giving $1 to the Atascocita Community Church Dollar Club, with proceeds benefiting the Huffman Food Pantry, or that donations be made directly to the Huffman Food Pantry in Leslie Deen’s name.
