Ada Lillian Lockhart, age 87, a lifelong resident of Splendora, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2026. She was born on February 26, 1939, in Splendora to her parents, William and Thelma McCrummen.
Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loyd Earl Lockhart; her daughters, Toni Renee Dillard and Sherry Bowles; her sons-in-law, Larry Dillard and Butch Bowles; her sisters, Virginia Carroway and Jane Holder; her brother, Allen McCrummen; and her cherished grandchild, Kiley Bowles.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her family, including her grandchildren, Glen Dillard, Kristy Parkman, Casey Stone and husband Adam, and Nicole Dillard; her great-grandchildren, Shannon Parkman, Austin Lilley, Dakota Lilley, Kiley Parkman, Peyton Phillips, Toni Phillips, and Kaydence Garvin; and her great-great-grandchildren, Eugene Bell, Sherry Bell, and Addison Pierce. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Lillian devoted her life to being a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. She expressed her love through cooking, and her chicken and dumplings and dressing were favorites that will be remembered for years to come. Her family—especially her grandchildren—were the center of her world and the greatest joy of her life.
In her quieter moments, Lillian enjoyed working puzzles and reading. She also loved spending time with her family going out for Mexican food and margaritas, making memories filled with laughter. She enjoyed fishing and hunting and taking family and friends on hay rides on Halloween. She also had been on more trail rides than could be counted, and many trips to float the river at New Braunfels.
Lillian was a hardworking woman who also knew how to enjoy life. Above all, she treasured the time she spent with her family, creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
