Linda Jean Douglas

Linda Jean Douglas, 81, was called to her heavenly home on February 6th, 2024. Linda was born on August 14th, 1942 to parents Frank Phillips Jr. and Margarette Singleton.

Mrs. Douglas’ caring nature led her to work as a paraprofessional at Splendora ISD, where she selflessly gave over 40 years of her time to helping others. She truly enjoyed her line of work and formed lasting connections with fellow teachers, students, and other members of the community. Faith was a cornerstone in Linda’s life, and her love for the lord was unmatched. Throughout her life, Linda exemplified the teachings of Jesus through her selfless acts of service and her boundless love for others.

In her free time, Linda enjoyed going to garage sales, where she always found an old (but new to her) table to take home. She also liked to collect porcelain dolls, and go shopping at the Palais Royal. Mrs. Douglas was renowned for her home-cooked meals, fixing up delicious treats like fried chicken, hot-water cornbread, and coconut pie.

More than anything, Linda loved her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She especially had a soft-spot for her grandkids and great-grandkids. Linda was the glue of her family, and leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to the Lord. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, James Douglas; parents, Frank Phillips Jr. and Margarette Singleton; sons, Daniel Lee Douglas and Darrell Dean Douglas.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Boychi; grandchildren, Jonathan Harrison, Lynsey Loving, Ashly Harrison, Megan Wilganowski, Michael Boychi , Matthew Boychi, Dylan Boychi; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and friends.
