Lori LaRue Mattox, age 65, passed away on April 25, 2026. She was born on January 14, 1961, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to James Robertson and Sharon Vandervort.

Lori was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved playing cards, fishing, and camping, and cherished every moment spent with her family. Lori also had a special fondness for angels and dolphins, which reflected her gentle and caring spirit. She had been a resident of Liberty for the past 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 33 years, James Mattox Jr.; and her siblings, Doyce Robertson and Joyce Robertson.

Lori is survived by her sons: Butch Mattox; James Mattox and spouse David Best; Scott Mattox; and Garrett Mattox and spouse Ella Nicole. She is also survived by her brothers: Ricky Robertson, Randy Robertson, Robert Robertson and spouse Diane, and Scott Robertson; her sister-in-law Cecilia Mattox; and her cherished grandchildren: Sean, Brittany, Robin, Hailey, Hannah, Garrett, Felicity, Michael, Blake, Zachary, Daniel, and James. She also leaves behind her niece Kimberly and spouse Justin, along with numerous great-grandchildren and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Lori will be remembered for her love of family, her warm heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.
