Luis Angel Gonzalez, a bright and beloved young soul, departed from this world on August 16, 2023, in Houston, Texas. He was born on January 28, 2004, in Houston, Texas, to his devoted parents, Miguel Angel Gonzalez and Veronica Nino. At the tender age of 19, Luis left an indelible mark on the lives he touched during his time here.

Luis spent his formative years in Dayton, where he resided for 16 years. A graduate of Dayton High School's Class of 2022, Luis was not only an exemplary student but also a standout athlete. He served as both a member and captain of the school's tennis team, showcasing his dedication and leadership qualities. Beyond his academic and athletic accomplishments, Luis was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Liberty, where his faith and sense of community flourished.

Luis was not just a son and brother; he was a pillar of strength for his family. He approached life with respect, responsibility, and impeccable manners, earning the admiration of all who knew him. Gifted with intelligence and compassion, Luis was quick to support and motivate others, embodying the spirit of a true leader. He consistently expressed pride in the parents who raised him, a sentiment that reflected his gratitude and love.

Anticipation and joy filled Luis' heart as he eagerly awaited the arrival of his first child. His excitement to embrace parenthood painted a beautiful picture of his aspirations and dreams. A diligent worker, Luis managed both a job and his studies at Lee College, showcasing his dedication to personal growth.

During moments of leisure, Luis found enjoyment in playing video games and fishing, activities that allowed him to unwind and connect with his passions. He reveled in life's simple pleasures, embracing each moment with enthusiasm.

Luis was preceded in death by his grandfather, Isidro Nino, great-grandfather, Alberto Gonzalez, and his aunt, Lidia Gonzalez. He is survived by his loving wife, Gabriela Arellano, his parents, Miguel and Veronica Gonzalez, and his eagerly awaited son, Luis Angel Gonzalez Jr. He is also survived by his brother, Diego Gonzalez, sister Yoselyn Gonzalez, grandmothers, Antonia Aguilar and Socorro Tapia, grandpa Manuel Gonzalez, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Luis' family will receive friends and well-wishers for a visitation on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., offering a moment of prayerful reflection on Luis' life. A Mass will be celebrated in his honor at the Immaculate Conception Church in Liberty, Texas, on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., followed by interment at the Liberty Catholic Cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Luis Ángel González, un alma joven brillante y querida, partió de este mundo el 16 de agosto de 2023 en Houston, Texas. Nació el 28 de enero de 2004 en Houston, Texas, hijo de sus devotos padres, Miguel Ángel González y Verónica Nino. A la tierna edad de 19 años, Luis dejó una marca indeleble en las vidas que tocó durante su tiempo aquí.

Luis pasó sus años de formación en Dayton, donde residió durante 16 años. Graduado de la Clase 2022 de Dayton High School, Luis no solo fue un estudiante ejemplar sino también un atleta destacado. La familia de Luis recibirá a amigos y simpatizantes para una visita el domingo 20 de agosto de 2023, de 5:00 a 8:00 p.m. en Pace Stancil Funeral Home en Dayton, Texas. Un rosario se llevará a cabo a las 6:00 p.m., ofreciendo un momento de reflexión en oración sobre la vida de Luis. Se celebrará una misa en su honor en la Iglesia de la Inmaculada Concepción en Liberty, Texas, el lunes 21 de agosto de 2023 a las 9:00 a.m., seguida de un entierro en el Cementerio Católico Liberty en Liberty, Texas.
